Live Tweet Assignment

     This past weekend I did my live tweet assignment on the Ohio Northern Women's Soccer's Senior Day game against the Marietta Pioneers. It was a good day to recognize all of the Senior's for all of the achievements that they have had over the last four years. The Senior class has had a really good four years as they have won multiple Ohio Athletic Conference titles for both the regular and post season. 

    Even though it was the girl's Senior Day, it was also Homecoming weekend here at ONU. The campus was buzzing with all different activities that could be attended by students on campus and past alumni that were in attendance. The campus was full and the parking was tough to manage. 

    Now onto the game! I have gone to most of the ONU Women's games this season and they have fought their way back from a very slow non-conference start to the season. The ONU Women's team would secure a third seed in the Ohio Athletic Conference tournament this upcoming week. The girls would start off hot with a goal coming from one of the many seniors. Emma Cook, Senior from Marysville, Ohio would have a ball played through from fellow Senior Kylie Cabana and would score within the first five minutes of the game. The team would continue putting pressure on Marietta but would not be able to put any more goals in for the first half. The lady's would start out the second half just like they started the first with a goal coming from fellow Senior Alaina Casey to put the Polar Bears up 2-0. Alyssa Beckett, Junior would finish off the goals for the Polar Bears with a header off a set piece to put the team up 3-0. The Polar Bears would win this one 3-0 and secure the third seed in the OAC tournament for the upcoming week. 

    A great day for the Polar Bears to end their regular season and Senior Day with a dub. Go Bears!!
